Sudan Says It Is Settling Lawsuit From Families And Victims Of USS Cole Attack

Sudan says it is settling a lawsuit filed by victims and families of people killed aboard the USS Cole in a 2000 terrorist attack. The destroyer is seen here in Norfolk, Va., in 2016.

The move is aimed at helping Sudan get off the U.S. list of state sponsors of terrorism. The bombing of the USS Cole in 2000 killed 17 people aboard the ship.
